Day 1: Arrival Hanoi If time permits, we embark on a cyclo for a short excursion through the bustling old quarter streets named after the specific goods once offered for sale at these places. Enjoy a famous Hanoi water puppets show before dinner. Overnight in Hanoi. Day 2: HA NOI After breakfast at hotel we enjoy a half day city tour starting with the Ho Chi Minh Complex, containing the mausoleum of the nation’s founder Ho Chi Minh, the Presidential Palace and the Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts. The complex also comprises the One Pillar pagoda, whose origins date back to the foundation of Hanoi. We follow this with a trip to the Temple of Literature, well known as Vietnam’s first university, and the Museum of Ethnology which displays an excellent collection of ethnic minorities tools and customes. The peaceful lake of Hoan Kiem and the bustling Dong Xuan Market are also visited. Overnight in Hanoi. Day 3: Hanoi - Ninh Binh Depart for Ninh Binh, visit Cuc Phuong national park. Overnight in Ninh Binh. Day 4: Ninh Binh - Hue In the morning visit Dinh and Le temple in the ancient capital and enjoy a rowing boat along the Tam coc river so called "inland Halong bay". Depart for Hue. Arrive Hue and check in hotel. Overnight in Hue. Day 5: Hue In the morning visit the Imperial Citadel – first built by King Gia Long in 1805. Here you will visit Ngo Mon Gate, Thai Hoa Palace, The Mieu Temple, and the Nine Dynastic Urns and Khai Dinh Tomb. Enjoy a boat ride on the Perfume River, Visit Thien Mu Pagoda and Minh Mang Tomb. Overnight in Hue. Day 6: Hue - Hoi An In the morning, a half day city tour in Hoi An ancient town, a distinctive Chinese atmosphere with low, tiled roof houses and narrow streets; the original structure of some of these streets is still virtually intact. Many of the houses were constructed of rare timbers and decorated with lacquer panels engraved with Chinese characters and pillars carved with ornamental designs. Visit the Merchant house, the Japanese bridge, the community hall. Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon free at leisure for relaxing at Cua Dai beach. Overnight in Hoi An. Day 7: Hoi An - Kontum Cycle into the Central Highlands, home to many hilltribes. This is an area which still sees few travelers, so we're bound to be a novelty as we pass through remote villages on our bikes. Day 8: Kontum - Buon Ma Thuot We head deep into the lush Central Highlands and our overnight homestay in a traditional house on stilts. Also trek through evergreen forest and paddy fields to a nearby lake and spend the night in a M'Nong minority village. Day 9: Buon Ma Thuot - Danang Pick up some coffee at the Buon Ma Thuot market then it's on to Nha Trang. Arrive Nha Trang, meet and transfer to hotel. If time permit , take a short visit to The institute of Oceanography and Po Nagar Cham Tower, a sacred Hindu site dating back to the 2nd century AD. Overnight at hotel in Nha Trang. Day 10: Nha Trang In the morning, meet and transfer to Cau Da Jetty for a full day boat cruise to Tam island and Mun Islet for a relaxing day on the beach. Optional activities include scuba diving, jet skiing, wind surfing & parasailing on Tam Islet. Lunch at a local restaurant on the Island. Afternoon, free at leisure for relaxing at Nha Trang Beach. Overnight at hotel in Nha Trang. Day 11: Nha Trang - Dalat Depart for Dalat, visit Lat ethnic minority village and the Valley of Love. Lunch at a local restaurant. Afternoon, continue to Linh Phuong pagoda, King Baodai's Palace and Truc Lam Thien Vien. Overnight at the hotel in Dalat. Meals: Breakfast - Lunch – Dinner Day 12: Dalat - Ho Chi Minh In the morning, free at leisure until transfer to Ho Chi Minh city. On the way, stop by Pongour waterfall for sightseeing. Ponggour waterfall is a grandiose waterfall of the Southern highlands. Arrive Ho Chi Minh, Arrive Ho Chi Minh, pick up and transfer to hotel. If time permits, visit Notre Dame Cathedral, Centre Post Office, China Town, Ben Thanh market. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city. Day 13: Ho Chi Minh - DEPARTURE Free at leisure until transferring to airport for departure. |
