Hai Duong people's committee will organize the Con Son - Kiep Bac festival from 14 - 24 September 2013 (from 10 - 18 August on lunar calendar). This is the third in 4 events registered by Hai Duong in response to the National Tourism Year 2013 for Red River Delta - Hai Phong.

Contents of this year's festival maintains rituals, traditional oratorio such as Listing ceremony, holy ontatorio festival, seal opening ceremony, the procession ceremony, memorial service, incense offering, safety praying, flower lamps festival, military festival in Luc Dau river... Besides, tourists can experience the thrill of being involved in cultural activities and folk games held during the festival. A new feature of this year's festival is the Fourth Water Puppet Festival in Hai Duong province, promising unique and original shows performed by traditional troupes in the province, as well as fierce competition of rowing boats held within the framework of the festival...

In preparation for this year's festival season, Organizing Committee has established four subcommittees are: Committee for content and communication; Committee for reception and logistics, committee for security, order and trafic safety; intersector inspection team. The committees are actively implementing the assigned tasks, therefore the Fall festival this year promises to give visitors across the country a new sense when attending the festival.

Con Son - Kiep Bac festival is a must for local tourists especially at the beginning of the first lunar month, foreign guests can visit the festival on their way to Halong bay, some tour organizers also include the festival as part of their program to Halong

Con Son pagoda and Kiep Bac temple are famous historic sites in Hai Duong province. Con Son pagoda is located in the Phuong Hoang mountain range, about 70 km from Hanoi, the pagoda is one of the Zen centres in Tran Dynasty, 13th century, the pagoda has been ranked as National Historical site.

Kiep Bac temple is located at Duoc Son ward, the temple is dedicated to King Tran Quoc Tuan and his family, Kiep Bac temple is 5km from Con Son pagoda.
